- Savannah - Jacqueline Jones Shuman, 78, died February 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. The lifelong resident of Savannah was a homemaker and a former member of Midway First Baptist Church. Her husband, Whitaker Samuel Shuman preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Becky Shuman of Ludowici; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jeff Franklin of Savannah; Mary and Brad Toothman of Jesup; Alice and Larry Thomas of Ludowici; sister, Carolyn Drawdy of Savannah; two brothers, Edward Jones of Bristol, RI; Anthony Jones of Savannah; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Reverend J.C. Wright, officiating.
